Aga Khan Foundation Canada and Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) were pleased to co-present an evening in conversation with Amara, now part of the BBC Media Action team and the Gordon N. Fisher/JHR William Southam Journalism Fellow at Massey College in Toronto. He discussed the many roles media can play in the developing world – both contributing to the causes of war and repairing societies when the fighting stops – as well as what Canadian reporters can learn from journalists around the globe. The discussion was moderated by Alison Crawford, national reporter in CBC’s parliamentary bureau. A reception followed.
