Return to Afghanistan: In Conversation with Mellissa Fung

May 12, 2014

Last year, Mellissa returned to Afghanistan for the first time since her captivity – and on May 12, Aga Khan Foundation Canada and the Canadian Association of Journalists were pleased to host Mellissa in Ottawa for a live, webcast event.

Using images and video she collected on her most recent trip, Mellissa explored the Afghan people’s success and challenges, and explained why the international community must continue to invest at this crucial moment for the country.

Mellissa made brief remarks, followed by a moderated discussion hosted by Don Martin, host of CTV’s Power Play. Refreshments followed.
